In 2022, the Government of Canada published Canada's 2030 Emission Reduction Plan detailing what is needed to reach an ambitious climate target of 40-45% emissions by 2030. Now is the time to get ahead of the curve and learn about how to accomplish carbon targets that will become more aggressive in years to come.

Ben Charney | System Sales Leader

As System Sales Leader for North America, Ben works to drive connectivity, foster collaboration, and enhance partnership. With experience in emergency power generation, Ben joined Trane in 2013. He and his wife, Maureen, live in Killingworth, CT where they are actively involved in the town, volunteering on various local boards and committees focused on sustainability..

Electrification & Decarbonization Technologies & Trends
Building designs continue to evolve using more innovative and sustainable solutions that harness renewable and reuse energy. Jackie will be demonstrating how Trane is pushing the boundaries to satisfy cooling needs and heating needs, all while reducing carbon emissions and energy consumption.

 

Jackie Sopko | Chiller Commercialization Leader

Jackie has worked for Trane supporting chillers since 1997 and is currently based out of Pueblo, Colorado. During her time at Trane, she has had several different positions - Technical Support Engineer and Water-cooled, Air-cooled and Arctic Chiller Product Manager. This gives her a great foundation to support customers. Jackie has a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Colorado State University - Pueblo. Outside of work, she enjoys spending her free time traveling, camping and 4-wheeling..

This presentation will discuss the use of Smart building technology for efficient engineering design and optimation of buildings for decarbonization.
 

Tejas Sawant | Account Executive

Tejas is a business solutions advisor, working with clients to meet their energy and sustainability goals. His passion is to help reduce carbon footprint for the end user, whilst ensuring they can meet their operational and financial business outcomes. Tejas works with architects, mechanical contractors, and engineering consultants to design and implement optimal HVAC, lighting, and digital controls solutions for their customers. His past experience also includes working with building owners on EPC (engineering procurement and construction) projects to build commercial solar plants under Ontario's FIT (Feed-In-Tariff) program. Tejas has a Bachelor of Aerospace Engineering at Carleton University.
